Oh, thank goodness I'm back on....

Thank goodness I'm turning into a computer geek in my spare time - just fixed the folks' computer issue with connecting to the internet - has been down the last two days - therefore, my complete and utter silence.... that and I'm crazy busy at work.

I'm also a bit addicted to Facebook lately - it's too much fun to have 70 some friends and relatives online with you all at once - and even more fun to chat with about 5 of them at the same time and try to keep track of each individual conversation. I also have a "farm" on there and you have to check in on a daily or semi-daily basis to plant or harvest your crops.... I find the planning of where the crops go, when to plant, harvesting - all to be very interesting - even if it's a somewhat elementary "game" to play.

And finally - running..... I finished another race today - a 5K (3.1 miles) in 38 minutes. I've shaved one minute per mile off my time and I actually ran the majority of it with only 4 minutes of walking because of a terrible gut ache right in the middle of the race. Guess I'll know better next time not to drink a bottle of chocolate milk right before running. The really good thing was I stayed with about 6 people for the length of the race (caught back up to them after I walked) and I really think that is what helped me keep running and not think about stopping to walk. I can't wait for the next race.... when exactly, I'm not sure, but maybe one more in a couple weeks? I'm addicted.... I went and bought more running clothes this afternoon and now I'm getting ready to settle in for the evening with all of the Runner's World magazines from 2007 that I'm borrowing from Jim. :D

I'm probably going to post more stuff today too - I've realized my social calendar is getting jam packed and I wanted to share some of the fun stuff there is to do between Elkhorn and Milwaukee and what I've observed also in the last week or so.

Big high-fives to you all (if anyone but me and maybe two friends ever read this...),
Erin
